The new General Manager of Ducati Corse this year, has already been able to enjoy a podium finish as well as a front row start. Following the French Grand Prix at , the Italian spoke with motogp.com about the latest developments at Borgo Panigale, the changes with the bike and his relationship with the riders.

It has not been long since you moved from Aprilia to Ducati. With this in mind, how have you settled into your new surroundings?
I am extremely happy with Ducati. I’ve found a group of people who are extremely valuable and the environment is very positive, even though we are facing some difficulties at the moment. We are a tight-knit group, working together in an incredible way in order to try and reduce the performance gap between ourselves and our competitors, Honda and Yamaha. It’s not easy, but we are trying so hard.

MotoGP: Ducati’s Crutchlow Down On Confidence

rider Cal Crutchlow admits he is struggling to regain confidence five weeks after his body bruising crash in the Grand Prix of the Americas at CoTA in Austin, Texas.

Crutchlow fractured his right hand and required recovery time in a hyperbaric chamber.

For Sunday’s French GP at Crutchlow has qualified 12th on a day that his Desmosedici teammate claimed Ducati’s first front row start of season.

MotoGP: Impressive Iannone finishes Friday practice in second

’s Andrea Iannone showed some good pace on Friday at to finish second overall after two practice sessions.

The Italian rider has had a strong start to his second MotoGP™ campaign with three top ten finishes, before crashing out in Jerez. This weekend he is looking to bounce back from the disappointment of that DNF in the south of Spain and he showed his determination on Friday as he trailed pace setter Marc Marquez by just 0.007s in FP2.

On Sunday at the Circuit of the Americas, Andrea Dovizioso overcame the effects of the flu and a fourth-row starting position to battle his way to Ducati’s first podium position since Valentino Rossi finished as runner-up at Misano in 2012.

Dovizioso’s heroic effort continued the general feeling that Ducati’s fortunes in motorcycling’s premier category are finally on the rise following several embarrassing seasons that tainted multiple legacies and resulted in a complete overhaul of the program.
