The scene was a familiar one, the sale of a special collector car at Barrett-Jackson with all proceeds going to . Also familiar was the smiling face of Roger Frank, a longtime Barrett-Jackson regular who was on the podium at last year’s Las Vegas to help sell off his all original 1955 210 to benefit the Barrett-Jackson Cancer Research Fund at TGen, in memory of Russ and Brian Jackson, and Festival of Hope in Scottsbluff, Nebr., Frank’s hometown.

But among those cheering the charity auction at Vegas, only a few knew just how special this sale really was. While raising funds for cancer research through the sale of his ’55 Chevy, Frank was also battling his own cancer demons. Yet there he was, grinning and having a great time as once again, he gave his all to help others.

Rose hosts and writes Maxim magazine’s weekly show, ‘Maximum Exposure,’ was featured on the cover of Maxim’s first Canadian issue, and was ranked No. 82 on Maxim’s annual Hot 100 list of the world’s most beautiful women for 2012.

A Big Year For Corvette At Barrett-Jackson

This just might be the biggest year in the history of the Corvette, ’s halo car since its launch on June 30, 1953.

Not only is 2013 the 60th anniversary of the Corvette, but last week, Chevrolet began shipping to dealers its newest version of the two-seat sports car, the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray. Also known as the C7, short for seventh-generation, the 2014 ‘Vette has received overwhelmingly positive reviews in the automotive press.

Vintage Corvettes, of course, have long been a staple of the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions, and they will be again this week in Las Vegas, during the Sept. 26-28 event at Mandalay Bay, which will be televised on the FOX family of networks.

At The Starting Line With Fox Sports And National Geographic

Starting with its sixth annual Las Vegas event, begins a new chapter in its history as the pioneer of live television coverage of collector car auctions. The SPEED network was re-branded as FOX Sports 1 in August in the United States, and ’s coverage will now be carried on several platforms within the FOX family of networks. For viewers in Canada, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean,  the SPEED brand remains, and the new FOX Sports coverage of will be broadcast on the network as usual.
