Muscle Milk Pickett Racing have announced that it will not take part in the next two rounds of the .

The two-time ALMS P1 championship-winning squad has elected to skip the races at Long Beach and in order to focus on reliability and performance testing with its Oreca 03 Nissan P2 car.

With a bit of luck and a late-race yellow, Chip Ganassi Racing powered through to claim victory in Saturday’s 62nd Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of , the second round of the .

After an unforgettable around-the-clock endurance classic, that saw nearly half the race run under yellow, Marino Franchitti took the No. 01 Telcel Riley-Ford across the line 4.682 seconds ahead of the No. 1 Extreme Speed Motorsports HPD ARX-03b of Ryan Dalziel in second.

Franchitti, Pruett and Rojas Win Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring

claimed overall victory in Saturday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, becoming the first team to win the , Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500 and the 12-hour Florida endurance classic.

Marino Franchitti teamed with co-drivers Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas to take their No. 01 Riley-Ford to a narrow 4.682 second-victory over the No. 1 Extreme Speed Motorsports HPD ARX-03b of Ryan Dalziel, Scott Sharp and Ed Brown in second.

Class winners include CORE autosport (PC), Porsche North America (GTLM) and Magnus Racing (GTD).

IMSA officials reviewed the situation after the race. IMSA’s Scot Elkins, VP of Competition and Technical Regulations, came into the media center more than three hours after the checkered flag to release a statement.
