After the second staging of the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas at the state-of-the-art track in , have reviewed the weekend from a tire perspective, after another busy event for the premier class tire supplier.

Track conditions for the race at the Circuit of The Americas were dry, although much cooler than the practice and qualifying sessions. A peak track temperature of just 33°C was recorded during the 21-lap race. Masao Azuma, Chief Engineer, Bridgestone Motorsport Tire Development Department, reviewed the weekend, as follows:

The Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas proved to be difficult affair for the Movistar Yamaha team.

Indeed it was a weekend to forget for 2010 and 2012 MotoGP World Champion . Starting from fifth on the grid he made a jump start at the beginning of the race and received a ride-through penalty as a result.

Marc Marquez made the Grand Prix of the Americas look like a breezy Sunday ride.

The reigning World Champion from Spain cruised to his second win of the season, defending his title in the race where he claimed his first career victory.

And the 21-year-old did it with ease, starting from pole position and leading the entire way.

The dark clouds looming over the Circuits of The Americas today may look like a small ray of hope for the bulk of the field, at least compared to the prospect of Marc Marquez riding off into the sunset.

Marquez has been in imperious form this weekend at the circuit he scored his first-ever MotoGP victory one year ago. Repsol Honda teammate may still hold realistic hopes of overcoming Marquez, but the rest of the top men have lowered their sights with a podium result considered about the best they can hope for… unless something unusual happens.
