IRVING — In so many words, Jason Witten said Wednesday that Cowboys coach Jason Garrett hasn’t been the problem during the team’s mediocre 2-2 start.
Since Garrett took over as head coach in the middle of the 2010 season, the Cowboys have gone 15-13. Regardless of that record, the Cowboys tight end says Garrett has been guiding the players in the right direction.
“Jason’s been great,” Witten said. “The wins haven’t shown it but Jason is a great coach. I can’t speak more highly about any coach I’ve had. He does a tremendous job of laying it out there and giving you the game plan to go succeed with the adjustments and all that goes in. He’s doing a phenomenal job. We just got to play better.”
