FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- Freshman Austin Wiley scored a season-high 25 points and Auburn won in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge for the first time in four tries, beating TCU 88-80 on Saturday night.

Mustapha Heron had 17 points before fouling out and fellow freshmen Anfernee McLemore and Jared Harper added 13 points apiece as the Tigers went on a 15-0 run for an 80-59 lead in the second half after 11 lead changes in the first 26 minutes.

Auburn (14-7), the only team in the country with freshmen as the top four scorers, improved to 3-0 against the Big 12 after pre-SEC wins against Texas Tech and Oklahoma. Both of those were at neutral sites.

Alex Robinson scored 20 for the Horned Frogs (14-7), who have lost a season-high four straight games since getting over .500 in Big 12 play for the first time in the school's fifth season in the league.

TCU, which lost in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge for the first time after three wins, shot 61 percent in the first half but missed seven consecutive shots during Auburn's decisive run.

Wiley was 11 of 13 from the field.

Vladimir Brodziansky had 19 points and a game-high eight rebounds for the Horned Frogs.

BIG PICTURE

Auburn: The second-half surge on the road should be a boost for a young team that has a chance to exceed expectations in the SEC.

TCU: All the momentum generated by the Horned Frogs' promising start in the Big 12 is gone, and it won't be easy to get it back in a difficult league.

UP NEXT

Auburn: Coach Bruce Pearl's former team, Tennessee, at home on Tuesday before a visit to Alabama next Saturday.

TCU: A trip to Kansas State on Wednesday, then consecutive home games against Texas and Texas Tech.
