RGIII: Cowboys fans should root for my recovery

Rehabbing Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III said even Dallas Cowboys fans should root for his recovery in a TMZ video.

Griffin III was preparing to join his parents, both U.S. Army veterans, in the National Memorial Day Parade on Monday when a videographer from the celebrity news site approached him.

The cameraman professed to being a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and asked Griffin III if he should be rooting for his recovery from off-season knee surgery.

“We always want the best competition out there, so yes,” Griffin III said.

Some sympathetic Cowboys fans may cheer for RGIII’s recovery, but not many will be cheering him when the Redskins visit Cowboys Stadium on Oct. 13.
