Report: Texas prepster defaces decorations

According to a report by The Dallas Morning News, Highland Park High School wide receiver Kace Coyle admitted to the decapitations after the two machetes he hid on the school's campus were discovered by security guards.
The guards found the machetes near the football stadium beneath a hoodie adorned with the number 82, Coyle's football jersey number.
They staked out the hidden machetes, and when Coyle returned to claim them, he was taken to the school office and the police were called in.
"[Coyle] admitted to taking his machete and chopping the heads off Santa Claus and reindeer yard decorations," said Capt. Leon Holman, a spokesman for the University Park Police Department. "The bigger offense is he had the knives on school campus."
Coyle, 18, faces a felony charge of possession of a weapon in places prohibited. He may face criminal mischief charges if the property owners who reported the acts of vandalism decide to press charges.
The incident prompted the school district's superintendent, Dawson Orr, to send a note to parents in light of recent events in Connecticut.
Coyle admitted to committing "about eight different criminal mischiefs" according to Holman, who said this is a first for him.
"I've never talked to anybody who'd even consider doing it," Holman told The Morning News. "What we're thinking is he had the machetes and may have seen a squad car and decided to ditch the machete ... Tis the season."
