The Texas Rangers will open the 2015 season on the road with a four-game series at Oakland starting April 6.

The Rangers will have their home opener April 10 against Houston in a game that kicks off a six-game homestand that also includes the Los Angeles Angels.

The club’s 2015 schedule was released Monday and the Rangers will play interleague games at Arizona (April 21-22), Colorado (July 20-22) and San Diego (Aug. 31-Sept. 2).

If the Rangers can return to contention in 2015 the September schedule sets up well as far as home games. Texas has a 10-game homestand in the middle of the month and then ends the season with seven-straight at home, with the season wrapping up Sept. 4 against the Angels.

The Rangers also host both Boston and New York in four-game series at Globe Life Park. The Red Sox come to town May 28-31 and the Yankees July 27-30. The interleague games in Arlington include a matchup against San Francisco, which hasn’t been to Arlington since winning the World Series in 2010, Arizona and San Diego. All three of those teams are in Texas in July. Texas also hosts the Los Angeles Dodgers June 15-16 before playing two games at the Dodgers June 17-18.
