Preller will oversee the club's player development and scouting department and Daly will handle the day-to-day operations of the team's player development program and affiliate relations.
"A.J. and Mike have been instrumental in this franchise's success over the last several years, especially when it has come to scouting and bringing quality players into the organization," Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said in a statement. "These promotions to more responsibilities on the player development side are well-deserved and will make us a stronger organization, further strengthening the bonds between player development and scouting, as well as the major and minor leagues."
Preller, 36, had been the team's senior director of player personnel. He's been with the club since 2004. Daly, 35, has been the team's director of international scouting since 2009. He replaces Tim Purpura, who was reassigned this year.
