Rangers get good news on Cruz chest tests

Cruz was released from Del Webb Medical Center following a stress test. He's expected to resume baseball activities as early as Saturday.
Cruz was sent to the hospital as a precaution as the team was trying to rule out anything other than a muscle problem.
Texas general manager Jon Daniels was relieved with the news. He said the team decided to be cautious because any time something involves the chest or heart, it's better to play it safe.
Cruz, whose name surfaced as part of a performance-enhancing drug scandal in Miami, was scheduled to play for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic. Daniels said no decision has been made on whether or not Cruz will still play in the WBC.
Cruz homered in his first at-bat this spring in an intrasquad game. In five spring games, he's hitting .214 with a home run and five RBIs.
