Minor-league GM gets prostate exam and sings during game

Myrtle Beach Pelicans general manager Andy Milovich kept his word.

During the Texas Rangers Class-A affiliate’s game on Thursday, Milovich got a prostate exam during the seventh-inning stretch while singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."

But this wasn’t just to sell some extra tickets. Thursday’s game was dedicated to prostate cancer awareness, and Milovich agreed to get the examine if the Facebook page of Fallon Emery, a local girl battling brain cancer, got 10,000 likes before the game.

"It’s an important cause and something our organization feels strongly about helping to publicize," Pelicans chairman and managing partner Chuck Greenberg told FOX Sports Southwest. "If Andy is willing to take this on personally in a fashion that is unconventional but respectful, then we’re all for it. The fact that we’re showing support for a little girl in the Myrtle Beach community makes it that much more attractive for us to get involved with."
