Irvin: LeBron’s title puts pressure on Romo

Hall of Famer Michael Irvin says now that LeBron James has won a title, the pressure has become greater for Tony Romo.

Attending a charity event last weekend in Las Vegas, Irvin was asked when the Cowboys will rise again.

The former Cowboys wide receiver didn’t respond with an immediate prediction. Instead, because the question followed one about the Miami Heat winning a championship, Irvin brought up the comparison between the two professional athletes.

“Now LeBron’s got the title, who do we turn the thing to and say, ‘When are you going to get one?'”

Irvin’s answer: Romo.

“That noose has been put around his neck,” Irvin said. “It better be soon. Jerry Jones has already said that. That’s where it’s going from here. It’s going back to Tony Romo now.”
