Hayden returns and impresses at UH pro day

Four months ago, Hayden, a defensive back at the University of Houston, ruptured the main vein to his heart during a practice. Doctors said this kind of injury is normally associated with car accidents and is fatal 95 percent of the time.
On Monday, Hayden ran a 4.33 40-yard dash in front of representatives from 27 NFL teams at Houston's pro day.
Hayden's injury makes him a unique case, obviously. His injury had never been reported as a result of playing football before, so his situation is a lot different from someone with a torn-up knee or a heart condition. He attended the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this month, but didn't work out.
He's a good prospect, too. He had four interceptions last season before his injury and is thought to be a potential mid-round selection in the NFL Draft.
