Group of Israeli men make Popovich rap video

Gregg Popovich's global popularity is spreading as a group of Israeli men rap about the Spurs' coach.

Fact: A group of Israeli men has made a rap video about an NBA coach.

Question: Quickly, which coach do you think it is?

If you said "Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs," congratulations on your understanding of Popovich's global popularity and/or your understanding of popular Israeli culture.

The video does seem to have an air of irony about it, although irony can be tricky enough to communicate from within the same culture, much less from one side of the world to the other.

If any coach was going to be popular in the world at large, however, Popovich would be it. The Spurs have done as well as any other team with international players over the past 10-15 years. Or maybe these Israeli guys just appreciate Pop's career record (865-405) and grouchy demeanor.
