Thunder forward Kevin Durant is often compared to former San Antonio player George Gervin.
But what does Gervin think about all that?
Well, the former guard/forward for the Spurs in the 1970s and 80s said Durant will be, “Much better than me,” on ESPNs First Take.
Gervin was a nine-time All-Star and averaged 25.1 points for his career, including getting 32.3 for the 1981-82 season. He led the league in scoring four times. Durant has led the league in scoring three times and is averaging 26.6 points per game in his six years.
“He can flat-out play the game and he loves the game, so that’s why I say his potential is scary,” Gervin said. “He’s very accurate.”
