Fans can vote daily for their favorite players to become starters for NBA All-Star Game 2014, which will be held in New Orleans. Gordon is averaging 16.2 points per game in his third year in New Orleans and has been one of the most explosive shooting guards in the league.
Holiday was an All-Star point guard in the Eastern Conference for All-Star 2013, and looks to make the same impact after joining the Pelicans this past offseason.
Forward Ryan Anderson has participated in the three-point contest each of the last two years and hopes to translate his success from beyond the arc in to his first appearance on All-Star Sunday. He’s been stranded on the Pelicans’ bench with a chipped toe, but expects to return to action soon, possibly Saturday at home versus the Philadelphia 76ers.
Sophomore big Anthony Davis is taking off after a solid rookie season. the face of the Pelicans’ franchise has been posting 21.8 points per game, 11.2 rebounds per game and 3.1 blocks per game in the young 2013-14 season.
Evans looks to translate his versatile scoring talent on the Pelicans bench in to an All-Star appearance averaging 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game through his first nine appearances in a New Orleans uniform.
