Murray suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee in the second quarter last Sunday against Washington. Murray did not practice Wednesday but did some running on the side with the training staff.
"I'm preparing like I'm playing this week," Murray said. "The way I'm preparing mentally in the classroom, physically on the field, you know I'm running, doing some good things.
"We haven't said which way, what we're going to do yet, I just think it's going to depend on how comfortable I am. We were able to so dome things today and I felt good."
Murray, who spoke after practice, said everything will depend on how he feels closer to game day.
"My intention is to work hard and do everything I can to play this week," Murray said. "Is that going to happen? I don't know. I'm not saying one way or another, but we had a good day today and I will continue to do what the trainers tell me to do and we'll see what happens later on in the week."
Rookie Joseph Randle replaced Murray against Washington and would likely start in his place on Sunday. Lance Dunbar, another reserve running back, also missed practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss last week's game.
Murray indicated he could have returned to the game on Sunday but thought better of it.
"It felt fine when it [the sprain] happened," Murray said. "Like I said, I was about to go back in, then I just, like I said they tested it and everything, all the tests were good. It was a just a possibility or, for me it was just about how comfortable I am going back in. So, it felt fine."
