10 Big 12 Championships
Stoops' Sooners dominated the Big 12 like no other program in the conference's history. Oklahoma won 10 Big 12 Championships. Rival and powerhouse program Texas only has three.
Winning record in Red River Rivalry
Stoops has an 11-7 record in the Red River Rivalry. But he didn't just beat Texas, his Sooners crushed the Longhorns. He's handed Texas two of their worst losses in program history. In 2000, Oklahoma beat Texas 63-14. Then in 2003, they embarrassed the Horns again 65-13.
Owning State of Oklahoma
Oklahoma State has been very successful for more than a decade, but the Sooners still dominate the state. Stoops has a 14-4 record against the Cowboys.
Six-time Big 12 Coach of the Year
Stoops was annually one of the best coaches in the Big 12. Even in Oklahoma's "rebuilding" seasons, the Sooners found ways to win.
2000 AP Coach of the Year
No surprise he received the AP Coach of the Year in 2000 after leading the Sooners to a perfect season.

Never a season without a bowl game
Stoops had the Sooners in a bowl game in each of his 18 seasons. And they were almost always big-time bowls. Under Stoops, Oklahoma won the Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, and Cotton Bowl. The Sooners played in the BCS national championships game four times.

Dominated ranked teams
Stoops earned the nickname "Big Game Bob" early in his tenure at Oklahoma. In his second season on the Sooners way to the national title, they beat highly-ranked Texas, Kansas State and Nebraska. Stoops has a 60-30 overall record against teams ranked in the top 25.
Two Heisman Trophy winners
Jason White and 2003 and Sam Bradford in 2008. Both quarterbacks led the Sooners to a Big 12 Championships and BCS National Title Game appearance.
Protecting home field
Few visiting teams could beat Oklahoma at home. Stoops had a 101-9 record when playing in Norman.
