FOX Sports South, SportSouth unveil 2014 Braves TV schedule

ATLANTA -- FOX Sports Regional Networks' FOX Sports South and SportSouth announced Friday the networks will televise a combined 156 Atlanta Braves games during the 2014 Major League Baseball regular season, with 83 games scheduled for SportSouth and 73 games slated for FOX Sports South. This marks the most Braves games ever carried by the two networks.
Six additional Braves games are scheduled to be televised nationally, three with the FOX Broadcasting Company and three on FOX Sports 1 (complete schedule).
The Atlanta Braves 2014 Season Preview will debut on Thursday, March 6 at 10:30 p.m. ET on SportSouth. The show will air throughout March on both networks and highlight the upcoming season with exclusive interviews featuring players, coaches and team executives from the Braves spring training complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
FOX Sports South and SportSouth will also televise six spring training games beginning with the Braves at St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, March 13 at 1 p.m. ET on SportSouth.
The Braves open the regular season on SportSouth at the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, March 31. Coverage begins with a special one-hour Braves LIVE pregame show at 1 p.m. ET.
Coverage of the Braves home opener against the New York Mets on Tuesday, April 8, will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET with a special one-hour Braves LIVE pregame show and will include complete coverage of the celebration honoring the 40th anniversary of Hank Aaron's 715th home run.
Play-by-play announcer Chip Caray and analyst Joe Simpson will partner for their fifth season in the FOX Sports broadcast booth. Caray enters his 11th season calling Braves games, while Simpson returns for his 22nd. Braves legend and Hall of Famer Tom Glavine will join Caray and Simpson as a guest analyst in the booth for select broadcasts.
Braves LIVE, the pre- and postgame show for every Braves game telecast on FOX Sports South and SportSouth, returns for the 2014 season. Braves LIVE will be on site from Turner Field for all home game telecasts and on location at select road series. Jerome Jurenovich returns for his seventh season where he will be joined by former Braves players Paul Byrd and Brian Jordan.
The FOX Sports South EMMY Award-winning original programming series DRIVEN will return this spring with two new episodes featuring Braves catcher Evan Gattis in April and closer Craig Kimbrel in May.

Combined, the FOX Sports South and SportSouth regular-season schedule includes 79 games from Turner Field and 77 road contests. National League East opponents are featured in 74 games and all 2013 National League playoff teams are represented, including six games against the 2014 NL champion St. Louis Cardinals. The schedule also includes four games against the 2014 World Series champion Boston Red Sox, the Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Angels, Texas Rangers and Houston Astros.
