FOX Sports Salutes the Troops premieres March 17 on FOX Sports South

Former MLB stars and the FOX Sports girls were featured guests at FOX's spring training for the troops.

Recently, former Atlanta Braves star David Justice and one of the FOX Sports South Girls, Britanny, travelled to Germany for the FOX Sports “Spring Training to the Troops” trip. They visited U.S. Army soldiers and families stationed at U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwoehr, the Army’s premier training base for US and international troops.

It was part of the unique goodwill tour that took place Feb. 5-7 that also included other current and past MLB players, FOX baseball broadcasters and FOX Sports Girls from all around the country.

While there, they stayed in military lodging on the base, ate with the troops and interacted with them on a daily basis. Events such as youth baseball clinics, elementary/middle school/high school visits, wiffle ball games, visiting wounded soldiers, going through simulated training activities and participating in other events with the troops were all part of their daily activities.

On Sunday, March 17, at 10:30 a.m., FOX Sports South will debut “FOX Sports Salutes the Troops” – a half-hour program that provides an opportunity to showcase the daily life of soldiers, and the commitment they make to our country.
