Braves announce spring training schedule

The spring slate opens on Feb. 25 against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Atlanta Braves' front office set a blistering pace for baseball's offseason by signing veteran pitchers R.A. Dickey and Bartolo Colon within the first week, and now key dates are starting to emerge. The franchise will open its 33-game spring training schedule on Feb. 25 against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Pitchers and catchers will report on Feb. 14 with the first workout set for the following day. Full-squad workouts start on Feb. 17.

For the 20th straight year, team workouts will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The spring schedule includes 18 home games and 11 road games.

The spring finale will carry extra intrigue, of course: The New York Yankees will travel to Atlanta on March 31 for the first game ever played at SunTrust Park.
