Zenit St Petersburg boss Andre Villas-Boas has played down talk of him taking over from Tata Martino as Barcelona boss.
The Portuguese has had to endure a difficult year after what promised so much back in August with Tottenham.
After being sacked by the Spurs hierarchy following an inconsistent start to the campaign, Villas-Boas is currently rebuilding his reputation in Russia with Zenit, and his side’s impressive performances have fuelled rumours he could take on a more prestigious role in the summer.
However, with Martino under pressure at Barcelona following their Champions League exit and La Liga woes, Villas-Boas insists he has heard nothing from the Catalan giants.
"All the rumours about my negotiations with Barcelona are completely groundless," Villas-Boas said.
"I’ve signed the contract with Zenit and I’m set to stay here until its expiry date.
