US striker Eddie Johnson signs for Mexico’s Puebla

Mexican club Puebla says United States striker Eddie Johnson is
joining the team.

Puebla President Roberto Henaine announced the signing on his
official Twitter page, saying Johnson would travel to join his new
teammates Monday.

The 27-year-old former FC Dallas and Kansas City Wizards player
had been out of contract since leaving Premier League team Fulham
in the summer.

Johnson joins fellow U.S. international DaMarcus Beasley at
Puebla. Beasley tweeted that ”we wanna welcome my boy Eddie
Johnson to Puebla!”

While at Fulham, Johnson had loan spells with Cardiff City and
Preston North End in the English lower leagues, and with Greek side
Aris.
