US men to travel to Belgium for Sept. 6 exhibition

The U.S. men’s soccer team will travel to Brussels for a Sept. 6

exhibition against Belgium.

The exhibition at Stade Roi Baudouin will be the first game for

the United States since its 4-2 loss to Mexico on June 25 in the

Gold Cup final. Belgium plays Azerbaijan on Sept. 2 in a European

Championship qualifier.

The game will be the fourth meeting between the two

countries.

The United States won the first game, a 3-0 victory during the

1930 World Cup in Uruguay. But Belgium has won the last two, both

played in Brussels, with the teams last playing in 1998.
