Tevez named in Argentina squad

The Manchester City striker has been the centre of much debate
surrounding the national side, with it being widely believed the
27-year-old would not appear at the tournament. With the tournament
taking place in Argentina, national coach Sergio Bastista faced a
decision of whether to leave out Tevez after a reported falling-out
with Lionel Messi. Fresh from a stunning performance in the
Champions League final, the Barcelona man denied that there had
been a falling-out with Tevez, with both men now set to occupy the
same squad as Argentina look to take their first Copa America win
since 1993. Messi said: “They’ve had me falling out with (Juan
Roman) Riquelme, Carlitos (Tevez) and Diego Maradona. “I don’t have
any problem with anyone, and Maradona has always spoken well of me
– we’re still in touch.” Copa America squad in full Goalkeepers:
