Sweden’s Ibrahimovic skips Germany match

Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will sit out Wednesday’s
friendly against Germany.

Sweden coach Erik Hamren says the AC Milan striker needs to rest
after receiving a couple of knocks in Sunday’s derby win over Inter
Milan.

Hamren told news agency TT on Monday it was just a matter of
giving Ibrahimovic time to recuperate and that ”if it were a
competitive match on Wednesday, he would have played.”

Ibrahimovic converted a first-half penalty to give Milan a 1-0
victory over his former club.

Sweden and Germany will play at Ullevi stadium in Goteborg. The
Swedes trained Monday in Malmo, where they were to make an
appearance at the annual Swedish football awards ceremony.
