Soccer player thanks wife and girlfriend in post-match interview, probably regrets it

It's always a nice gesture when a professional athlete thanks their significant other for supporting them on the road to accomplishment. But it's even better when that athlete thanks BOTH their significant others.

South African Premier League player Mohammed Anas did just that after winning Man of the Match in a contest over the weekend. During the postgame interview, Anas thanked both his wife AND his girlfriend before quickly reversing course and trying to cover his tracks. He proceeded to shower the love on thick for his wife.

Unfortunately for him, the damage was likely already done.

It's possible that Anas was referring to the same person here (after all, most wives are formerly known as girlfriends) and just slipped up, but it's more fun to imagine this being one wild act of self-sabotage.
