RH: I’ll be in hunt for defenders

The Baggies are closing in on Premier League safety, with the
2-2 draw at Spurs last Saturday taking Hodgson’s side to 40 points.
But the Hawthorns outfit have failed to keep a clean sheet in a
record 31 successive league matches and Hodgson is looking to
recruit new faces in the summer. “It is stating the obvious to say
that if we do stop up this year, you need to improve your team,”
the Baggies boss told the Express and Star. “Maybe one of the
things we’ll need to look at during the close-season is making
certain we do shore up a little bit defensively because I don’t
think you can rely on your team to score two or three goals every
game, especially away from home. “We scored three away from home to
win at Sunderland, two away to get a draw at Tottenham on Saturday
and two to get a point against Arsenal. “We can’t rely upon that
all the time.”
