Pachuca beats Toluca 1-0 to reach CONCACAF final

Edy Brambila scored and Pachuca beat fellow Mexican club Toluca 1-0 on Wednesday to reach the final of the CONCACAF Champions’ League.

Argentine playmaker Damian Manso provided a left wing cross for Brambila in the sixth minute to give Pachuca, CONCACAF champion in 2007 and 2008, a 2-1 aggregate victory after last week’s 1-1 draw in the first leg in Toluca.

The final will match Pachuca against Cruz Azul, which beat Pumas 5-1 on aggregate in the other all-Mexican semifinal.

The winner of the CONCACAF title advances to the Club World Cup to face the champions of the other continental confederations.

Hector Mancilla had a chance to equalize for Toluca with a chance in the 14th minute.
