Owen: Title win is the pinnacle

The 31-year-old arrived at Old Trafford on a free transfer in 2009
having achieved much during his time in football. Owen has
represented England at the World Cup, won the Ballon d’Or, lifted
both the UEFA and FA Cups, but had never landed a league title
before joining the Red Devils. However, this campaign Owen played a
role in helping United secure their 19th league crown, totalling 11
appearances. He said in the Daily Mirror: “I won a lot of trophies
with Liverpool, but to win the Premier League is the pinnacle of
anyone’s career. I’m very proud. “I’ve not played as much as I did
last year, but we all have to play our part to win the league and
it’s been enjoyable, nonetheless. “I’m really pleased and proud to
have played with a great crop of lads and obviously the manager’s
second to none.”
