Neymar visits fellow Brazilian Gabriel Jesus after successful surgery

Gabriel Jesus' season with Manchester City started with a bang, but ended — or at least has been significantly interrupted — shortly after it began. A foot injury just 13 minutes into Monday's match against Bournemouth was deemed serious enough to require surgery.

The 19-year-old traveled to Barcelona for the surgery, and fortunately for him, a familiar face was there to stop by during his recovery: Neymar!

Jesus, who's been deemed "the next Neymar," certainly seems in good spirits after the surgery. The two Brazilians are a big part of their country's national team picture, even if they're on different club teams. It's certainly a nice gesture for the Barcelona star to drop by and check in on his compatriot.

As for Jesus' surgery, Man City manager Pep Guardiola provided an update Friday on the young forward. The surgery was a success, but the timetable for recovery is indefinite.

"I don't know if Gabriel Jesus will play again this season. They say [he could be out for] two or three months," Guardiola said, via Sky Sports. "Last night he had an operation, it was good, really good."

With three goals in his first three games for City, Jesus was still just getting his beak wet before suffering the injury. While it might be tempting to get him back in action before the season wraps up, making sure he doesn't have another setback is key.

Guardiola admitted as much, too. "The most important thing now is a good recovery and he is going back when he will be fit," he said.

Get well soon, Jesus. At least you have a friend there to help pass some of the time!
