Huddlestone eyes Tottenham title tilt

Spurs’ 2-1 victory over Fulham on Saturday sees them sat on 14
points from eight games, the same return as Manchester United and
Arsenal. They are just five points behind leaders Chelsea and are
well-placed to push on from this point. Harry Redknapp’s men will
have to juggle their domestic endeavours with Champions League
commitments, but they now have the squad to compete on multiple
fronts. With that in mind, Huddlestone sees no reason why they
cannot launch a sustained assault on the top flight title. “If we
can be a bit more consistent, because we’ve dropped a few sloppy
points, then why not,” said the England international, who bagged a
controversial winner to see off Fulham at Craven Cottage. “Title
contenders? That’s a big statement to make, but the way the season
is going, everybody keeps taking points off each other. “If you’re
up there March, April time, you’ve got a great chance.”
