Fulham in Pogrebnyak talks

Martin Jol has been after a striker throughout the January

transfer window and now looks set to secure the signing of the

Russia international.

Fulham would not comment on any potential deal but it is

understood that Pogrebnyak is on his way to west London to finalise

a move.

The 28-year-old would have a medical with the Cottagers on

Tuesday ahead of a move, although it is not known whether the

switch would be on a loan or permanent basis.

Pogrebnyak’s addition would bolster a Fulham frontline that

includes Bobby Zamora and Andrew Johnson.

Both have been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage this

month, with Johnson the subject of offers from Blackburn and QPR

earlier in the window.
