Michel Breuer and Roy Beerens each scored two goals to help Heerenveen hammer last-place Willem II 5-0. Mika Vayrynen hit the opening goal from Oussama Assaidi’s pass.

PSV Eindhoven leads the standings with 34 points after holding Ajax to a 0-0 draw Saturday.

Defending champion FC Twente lost 2-1 to AZ Alkmaar and remains second, four points behind PSV. Groningen is next with 30, two more than Ajax and AZ.

Also Sunday, Dmitri Bulykin, Wesley Verhoek and Dmitri Bulykin scored in ADO The Hague’s 3-0 win over NAC Breda.

FC Utrecht beat NEC Nimegen 4-0 with goals from Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Edouard Duplan, Mihai Nesu and Frank Demouge.

On Saturday, Rydell Poepon’s hat trick inspired De Graafschap to a 3-1 win over Roda JC. Stein Huysegems replied for Roda in the 45th.

Also, Davy Propper and Dalibor Stevanovic scored to lead Vitesse Arnhem to a 2-0 win over Heracles Almelo. Roland Bergkamp scored in the 75th minute in Excelsior Rotterdam’s 1-0 win over VVV-Venlo.
