Doyle targets ‘last two games’

The £6.5million striker tore medial knee ligaments playing for
the Republic of Ireland against Macedonia in March and was
immediately identified as unlikely to return before the end of the
season. But he started running again last week and believes he
could feature against Sunderland on May 14. Asked if he will play
again this season, the 27-year-old told the club’s website: “That’s
the aim at the moment. “I’ve had a good week with the physios
running and we’re looking at me being available for the last two
games. “Hopefully that will be the case and I can have some impact
on the rest of the season.” Wolves are a point from safety and go
to Stoke in their game in hand on Wednesday seeking to get out of
the bottom three.
