Confusion surrounded the Ivory Coast international’s availability
for the clash with Spurs but reports indicate he will now feature
against Harry Redknapp’s side. Dindane has made 20 appearances so
far for Pompey and it was believed that a 21st outing would trigger
a £4million fee to the French club – money that the
administration-ensconced south-coast club cannot afford to pay.
However, it is understood the relevant clause in Dindane’s loan
deal actually stipulates that 22 games is the trigger for the
payment. As a result, the Ivorian is being lined up to play at the
national stadium – a major boost to boss Avram Grant. Dindane’s
last appearance for Pompey came in their 4-1 Premier League defeat
by Liverpool at Anfield on March 15.
