Diego Costa apparently asked to be subbed because he was sick of Antonio Conte yelling

Chelsea were 2-0 up on Leicester over the weekend and cruising to a 3-0 win in one of their best showings of the season. All was well. That is unless you were Diego Costa, who asked to be subbed off in the 71st minute, only to be rebuffed by manager Antonio Conte, who told him to play all 90 minutes.

Why did Costa want off? According to The Mirror, he was simply sick of Conte yelling at him from the sideline.

Yep, Costa didn't like his manager yelling at him what to do and questioning his commitment so he basically said, "screw it, you don't like what I'm doing then get me off."

In the video of the incident, Costa can be seen yelling at the dugout before signaling for the substitution. At no point before or after did he looks hurt or especially tired, and when asked to play the rest of the match, he did so without showing signs of injury or fatigue. It was pretty clear that he didn't want off for either of those reasons, and Conte leaving him on, despite being two goals up and having two subs left, is a pretty good indicator that Costa didn't have a serious problem.

Is The Mirror's report correct? It makes sense and I hope so, because it would probably be Peak Costa. And Peak Conte, for that matter.
