Danish football club Randers has fired coach Ove Christensen a
day after he angrily hit a TV interviewer on the shoulder following
a 4-0 loss to Brondby.
Christensen became agitated when asked right after the match
about whether he could continue as coach and responded by saying he
would not answer ”stupid questions.” He then hit reporter Rasmus
Lund on the right shoulder and walked away.
Randers spokesman Ib Rasmussen told The Associated Press on
Tuesday that Christensen’s dismissal was not related to the
incident but was a result of the club’s ”poor result.”
Christensen joined the club in 2009. It is currently 10th in the
12-team Danish league.
