Barcelona reports record income, profit for 2013-14 season

The La Liga giants rank second in Forbes' world's most valuable clubs list.

Barcelona's vice-president in charge of finances says it had a record income of €530 million ($711 million) over the past year, and managed a profit of €41 million ($55 million).

Javier Faus presented the club's financial report for 2013-2014 on Tuesday, and said it made money on it operations, year-to-year, and reduced its net debt.

Faus said net debt was reduced by €44 million to stand, on June 30, at €287 million.

Faus, who took over finances in 2010, said during that time the club had reduced debt by €143 million and risen from 24th to second position in the Forbes ranking of the world's most valuable clubs.
