Aberdeen v Hearts preview

Fraser Fyvie could be ready for Aberdeen. The midfielder was on the

bench for the defeat to Inverness on Saturday but his knee

complaint meant it was only for “cosmetic reasons”, according to

manager Craig Brown. Striker Mohamed Chalali remains a doubt with

an ankle injury while midfielder Peter Pawlett serves the second of

a two-game ban. Right-back Jamie Hamill is a major doubt with an

ankle injury for Hearts. Hamill was taken off on a stretcher in the

2-0 win over Motherwell in a match midfielder Ryan Stevenson missed

due to a self-imposed absence in frustration at Hearts’ ongoing

financial problems. Utility man Eggert Jonsson is again likely to

be absent after agreeing a move to Wolves on January 1, defender

Danny Grainger (groin) and long-term absentees Kevin Kyle, Gary

Glen and Suso Santana remain out. Aberdeen (from): Brown, Jack,
