Rumor: Stoke to Inter Milan // Likelihood: Stoke need to show ambition// The Talk: Begovic has been one of the shining lights during his five-year spell at the Britannia Stadium, although ironically this season hasn’t been one of the Bosnia & Herzegovina goalkeeper’s best. His contract runs out at the end of the season and talks are planned for the summer when Potters boss Mark Hughes hopes to conclude an extension. Signing such a deal depends on Stoke proving they mean business in the transfer market otherwise Inter Milan might just sneak in the back door. That pesky Roberto Mancini!

Rumor: Fiorentina to Juventus // Likelihood: Really? // The Talk: Sky Italia journalist Gianluca di Marzio reckons Neto will join Juventus in the summer on a free transfer despite having to play second fiddle to Gianluigi Buffon (will he ever retire?). Six months ago the Brazilian goalkeeper said that he would never join Juventus "because that would be to betray the Viola fans." Ain’t it strange how things change? What could have persuaded him?

Rumor: West Ham to Chelsea // Likelihood: Good player // The Talk: Cresswell joined West Ham in the summer and has been an integral figure in West Ham’s impressive campaign. The former Ipswich left-back is said to be closing in on a $35 million move to Stamford Bridge which sounds expensive to us but that’s the price you pay for English talent under the home grown rules. It would be a shame for the Hammers to break it up with Creswell but that sort or money would be too good to turn down. The question is. Is it true? Well, if Filipe Luis is rejoining Atletico as part of a deal to sign Koke that leaves a space at left-back. Just saying ...

Rumor: Manchester United to Real Madrid // Likelihood: We don’t buy it // The Talk: There are so many rumors and counter rumors surrounding the future of De Gea it’s hard to know what to believe. The latest speculation suggests De Gea has agreed to join Real Madrid but that no deal has been struck between the clubs. The gung ho claim was made by Josep Pedrerol on Spanish TV channel La Sexta. It’s certainly a bold claim to make if you get it wrong. Our gut feeling is that De Gea will still be at United next season but will join Real Madrid in the future.

Rumor: Aston Villa to Manchester United // Likelihood: Possible // The Talk: United could potentially be looking to sign two strikers in the summer. Radamel Falcao is surely leaving and a question mark hangs over the head of Robin van Persie. The Daily Star ran a rare exclusive over the weekend warning us to expect a bid from Manchester United, whose manager Louis van Gaal was impressed by the Belgian's performance during Villa’s 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford earlier this month. Beneteke is in red-hot form and in our view just the man United need -- a proven goalscorer in the Premier League. Let’s see what United’s powers of persuasion are like.

Rumor: Porto to Manchester United // Likelihood: Can’t see it // The Talk: We’ve already mentioned United could be in the hunt for two center-forwards in the summer but could Martinez be part of the equation? United scouts were on hand to watch Martinez help Porto destroy Bayern Munich in last week’s Champions League quarterfinal match -- but Chelsea and Tottenham also sent representatives too. Our view is that Martinez, at 28 and costing $45 million, could prove an expensive mistake considering he has no Premier League experience. If you pay that sort of cash you pretty much want a guaranteed return.

Rumor: Palermo to Chelsea // Likelihood: Other clubs ahead of the Blues // The Talk: Jackson C Frank sang Blues rule the game and while it's true that Chelsea are going to win the Premier League whether they win the race to sign Dybala remains to be seen. The Italian club turned down Chelsea’s offer as too low, according to one of Dybala's intermediaries -- Gustavo Mascardi. PSG are also thought to have made an unacceptable offer. Interestingly, two bookmakers make Arsenal favorites to sign him even though Mascardi says Juventus are on pole. One voice we haven’t heard is Dybala's, but we suspect we won’t until the deal is done.

Rumor: PSV to Manchester United // Likelihood: Good chance // The Talk: Depay's 20 goals helped PSV win the Eredivisie for the first time in seven years but coach Phillip Cocu told the media at the weekend he expects the winger to leave. Technical director Marcel Brands revealed that Manchester United expressed interest in the wing wizard during a recent phone call and explained Depay will cost more than the $30 million Spurs offered for him last year. The Dutch connection at Old Trafford could be a factor but Brands says no talks have been held and several clubs want a piece of the action. We make United hot favorites though.

Rumor: Atletico Madrid to Chelsea // Likelihood: Tough one // The Talk: The Blues sent the club's technical director Michael Emenalo to watch Koke during Atletico's 2-1 win at Deportivo over the weekend. And maybe he took a sneaky look at Antoine Griezmann while he was there too! The story goes that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will use former Atletico defender Filipe Luis as a makeweight to land Koke, whose release clause is around $75 million. Could it happen? Koke turned down Barca and signed a new contract with Atleti so the Blues will have to pull out all the stops to land the midfielder. Put us in the unconvinced camp.

Rumor: Joining Premier League club // Likelihood: We think so // The talk: Klopp will whirl away from Dortmund in the summer and has explained he will not be taking a sabbatical. A Sun journalist revealed that Klopp told him in an off-the-record chat that he wants to join Manchester United, but Liverpool and Real Madrid are also a couple of options. With United on the crest of a wave we rule that one out. Rumors are flying that Ancelotti’s future at Real Madrid is uncertain. Arsenal are also thought to be interested in Klopp but there’s no way the Gunners will sack Wenger. Instead, we’re putting our money on a summer move to Manchester City.
