RUMOR: REAL MADRID TO MANCHESTER UNITED || LIKELIHOOD: Hmm… || Rumors surrounding the future of Morata seem to go round and round – and the latest has linked Manchester Unted with the Real Madrid man. Arsenal tried to get him on loan in January and failed – and that’s how we expect the Red Devils’ bid to end up. Tottenham have also been mentioned as a possible destination, but don’t leave Juventus and Inter Milan out of the equation. Of course he may stay at the Bernabeu, but his contract expires in 2015 and the queue is getting longer to sign him. Real need to move fast if they want to secure one of the best European talents.

RUMOR: PSG TO LIVERPOOL || LIKELIHOOD: Will be able to pick and choose || Why has Menez been linked with Liverpool? Plenty of reasons. He was on top of the world when he joined the ambitious club from Roma, but now he can’t get into a star-laden PSG team. He’s out of contract at the end of the season and talks over an extension have hit the buffers. The Reds were linked with the France winger in January and could go back at the end of the season, but they may face competition from Bayer Leverkusen, whose winger, Sidney Sam, is heading for Schalke.

RUMOR: PORTO TO BARCELONA || LIKELIHOOD: Depends on Alves, Montoya || Rumor Mill doesn’t understand why Dani Alves has been linked with a move from Barcelona in summer, but there have been rumors some of his teammates are a bit uptight with the defender? We don’t know about that, but Manchester City are thought to be preparing a move for the Brazilian … which in turn has prompted the Catalans to look elsewhere for a replacement, especially as Martin Montoya has yet to sign a contract extension. Danilo has been making waves in Portugal. Could it be a case of one Brazilian in, one out at Barca?

RUMOR: PORTO TO NAPOLI || LIKELIHOOD: Interesting || Napoli were interested in signing Martinez last summer but opted for Gonzalo Higuain instead. That turned out to be a great decision, but the Italian club aren’t averse to a spot of squad strengthening this summer. Partenopei sporting director Riccardo Bigon revealed at the weekend that his club “are interested in him as well as other FC Porto players.” It’s only a matter of time before Martinez moves on. All eyes are on the Colombian’s next move.

RUMOR: MANCHESTER UNITED TO INTER MILAN || LIKELIHOOD: A good fit || Evra’s eight years at Manchester United are coming to an end. His contract runs out at the end of the season and there are no plans to offer him a new deal, so it’s time for the Frenchman to look at potential new destinations. One possibility is Inter Milan, who have already confirmed Evra’s United teammate Nemanja Vidic for next season. Inter still have an outside chance of making the Champions League next season and Walter Mazzarri is thought to want more experienced players in his squad. This makes sense.

RUMOR: CHELSEA TO ATLETICO MADRID || LIKELIHOOD: Money over ambition? || To complete the Chelsea triumvirate, could fallen forward Torres leave Stamford Bridge in the summer? That’s a question that Mourinho has probably already answered when he indiscreetly told a businessman what he thought of his strikers! His old club, Atletico, are thought to be interested in a reunion, but could they afford the Blues flop? Torres has two and a half years left on his current deal and he would have to take a pay cut to return to Spain.
RUMOR: CHELSEA TO REAL MADRID || LIKELIHOOD: Options galore for Cole || Cole is another Chelsea player linked with a move to MLS but it seems the 33-year-old left-back has other options. Not only is Cole sitting on the subs’ bench week in, week out but it seems the Blues hierarchy are only prepared to offer him a one-year extension. Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid, on the other hand, would be happy to give Cole a two-year deal. Cha-ching! Sevilla youngster Alberto Moreno is also on Real Madrid’s radar as they look to bring a mixture of experience and youth in the left-back slot.

RUMOR: CHELSEA TO LA GALAXY || LIKELIHOOD: In the balance || This rumor is one that simply won’t go away – and with good reason. Lampard was persuaded to stay at Stamford Bridge by Jose Mourinho, but the Portuguese is still using the England midfielder sparingly. Galaxy are reportedly prepared to offer $4 million a year to bring him to America and MLS. Numbers like that could be the defining factor.

RUMOR: BAYERN MUNICH TO MANCHESTER UNITED || LIKELIHOOD: Unlikely || Despite scoring more than 20 goals for Bayern this season and being the top scorer in the Bundesliga it seems Mandzukic will tiptoe his way out of Munich as he keeps the striker’s jersey warm for the arrival of Robert Lewandowski. United are determined to strengthen in the summer, but will they be able to tempt the Croatian to sign for a side unlikely to be in the Champions League? Arsenal and Chelsea are sniffing around, but so are Juventus.

RUMOR: LEAVING ARSENAL || LIKELIHOOD: Possible || So, what’s going on with Giroud? The France striker has looked out of sorts since revelations about his private life surfaced a couple of weeks ago. The story is that his wife is prepared to take him back, despite his indiscretion with a model in a hotel room. However, the only way he can save his marriage is by getting back to France – pronto. And did we mention that Giroud has been spotted with super agent Muzzi Ozcan? Is there a cover up going on? You decide.
