Rumor: Sassuolo to Liverpool // Likelihood: Not unless other strikers leave // The Talk: Domenico Berardi has been linked with a move to Liverpool over the last week, after Jurgen Klopp took the reins at Anfield. Klopp has reportedly admired Berardi from afar, but was always prevented from signing him because of the co-ownership deal between Sassuolo and Juventus. However, now Sassuolo have full ownership of the player, the Reds boss could be set to test their resolve. The 21-year-old has scored 42 goals in 108 appearances for the Serie A minnows.

Rumor: Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool // Likelihood: If the glove fits // The Talk: Bernd Leno is one of two keepers on new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s wishlist. He is reportedly looking for someone to replace current number one, Simon Mignolet. Leno plays for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, making 164 appearances over four years and earning Germany under-21 caps. Mignolet has come under criticism throughout his time at Anfield and Klopp looks set to give him better competition.

Rumor: Real Madrid to Arsenal // Likelihood: Not yet // The Talk: Arsenal have been linked with Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema repeatedly over the last year and have been thwarted in their attempts to lure the Frenchman to London. However, the Gunners have been given fresh hope of landing their reported long-term target, as he declared himself unhappy with being substituted during matches at Madrid. "It's true I'm fed up of being taken off," Benzema told AS. "I'm calm and will continue to work so I'm not always substituted. He took me off to get a result, for defensive reasons. It's true that the electronic board always shows the No.9. Ask Benitez why that is." It’s still a long shot with Real Madrid unlikely to let him go.

Rumor: Southampton to Manchester United // Likelihood: Makes sense // The Talk: Southampton are reportedly willing to sell forward Sadio Mane for £20million ($30.7million) in the January transfer window. And, according to the Daily Express, Manchester United are set to revive their interest in Mane after they were thought to have targeted him in the final weeks of the summer window. The club are currently relying on youngster Anthony Martial to bag the goals with Wayne Rooney having only scored once in the Premier League this season. Louis van Gaal is likely to be looking for a new striker and Mane could be that man.

Rumor: FC Porto to Manchester United // Likelihood: 50/50 // The Talk: Bruno Martins Indi is reportedly in line to replace Marcos Rojo at Manchester United, if Louis van Gaal decides to sell the Argentinian. The Dutchman’s relationship with Rojo has broken down following several issues and Van Gaal has apparently sent scouts to watch Martins Indi. The center-back would slot straight into LvG’s system and the 23-year-old is a player he knows well from his time in charge of the Dutch national team. It isn’t the first time Manchester United have been linked to a Netherlands international, and it remains to be seen if there is genuine interest.

Rumor: Juventus to Barcelona // Likelihood: In the summer // The Talk: Barcelona have declared their interest in Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba and they could be set to hijack any offers from the Premier League, according to the Daily Express. "The amount he’d cost has to be considered," Barcelona technical director Robert Fernandez said. "But you can find a solution for that. We have freedom to work [after a transfer ban] and when the time comes we’ll sit down and decide." Manchester City, Chelsea and former club Manchester United are thought to be interested in the France international. With Juventus suffering a poor start to the Serie A season, they may be tempted to cash in come January.

Rumor: Manchester United to Barcelona. // Likelihood: Why not? // The Talk: Despite initially wanting to take Ander Herrera on loan for the rest of the season, it now appears Barcelona want to test Manchester United with a permanent offer for the Spaniard. Herrera has been struggling for game-time at Old Trafford, having only made four appearances in the Premier League this season. Barcelona are plotting new transfers for when their transfer embargo is lifted in January and a midfielder is reportedly top of their list. The Red Devils midfielder cost the club £29million ($44.5million) and it would probably take a similar fee to prise him away.

Rumor: Borussia Dortmund to Liverpool // Likelihood: For the right price // The Talk: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been linked with a possible £35million ($53.7million) reunion with former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp. The new Liverpool coach has been linked with a host of his former players, and Aubameyang is up there with the most realistic. The Gabon international has already scored a staggering 14 goals in 13 appearances this season, and 56 in 107 games overall for Dortmund. And the striker is reportedly interested in being a part of the Anfield revolution. A source told The Sun: "An offer of joining Liverpool now Jurgen is there would be an attractive proposition."

Rumor: Atletico Madrid to Chelsea // Likelihood: If Jose goes // The Talk: Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is being considered as a replacement for Jose Mourinho, if the 'Special One' is sacked. The current Blues manager is the favorite to be the next Premier League boss to go after an awful start to the season that sees the club 16th in the standings. Chelsea have said that they back their manager, however, more poor results could see the 52-year-old get the boot. Having guided Atletico to unprecedented success -- including a La Liga title in 2014 -- Simeone has emerged as one of the most sought-after managers in world soccer. The Chelsea hierarchy would still have to make the Argentine a tempting offer for him to swap the Vicente Calderon for Stamford Bridge.

Rumor: Bayern Munich to Liverpool // Likelihood: Not a chance // The Talk: Klopp is reportedly keen on bringing Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to Anfield. The new Reds boss, who is set to dip into the January transfer market, had previously said that Lewandowski’s development has given him the biggest satisfaction in soccer. Lewandowski won two Bundesliga titles and scored a bag full of goals under Klopp’s tutelage at Dortmund, and is now considered one of the best strikers in the world. It seems like a match made in heaven, but it’s hard to see the transfer getting off the ground. Liverpool are unlikely to pay the wages required to lure the Polish international to the club and he will no doubt want to play in the Champions League.
