Rumor: Stoke to Chelsea // Likelihood: What's in it for Begovic? // The Talk: Petr Cech is leaving Chelsea -- that much is pretty certain. So the Blues need to find a goalkeeper who is happy to play second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois for most of the season. Begovic has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the last few days but does he sound like the sort of goalkeeper who is prepared to sit on the bench every week when he has been a regular at Stoke for the last five years. Chelsea will sign a keeper eventually but we're not convinced Begovic is their man.

Rumor: Valencia to Manchester United // Likelihood: Possible // The Talk: Otamendi has long been linked with United but it looks like the defender could be available in the summer judging by comments made by his agent. The Argentina international has told club president Amadeo Salvo that he wants to leave the Mestalla. Otamendi's agent said: "Nico is going to do everything (possible) to leave."

Rumor: Monaco to where? // Likelihood: Maybe nowhere? // The Talk: We know that Falcao's time at Manchester United is up but what will be his next port of call? At the moment he has nowhere else to go but back to Monaco where he will have to work on his strength. We suspect no club will take a chance on him next season until he's proved his fitness and sharpness. Maybe a move in January?

Rumor: Juventus to Arsenal // Likelihood: Stop it // The Talk: Last week it was Liverpool and this week's gossip is a more plausible option in the form of Arsenal, who have done well with marquee signings over the last couple of seasons. A Chilean journalist believes his countryman will join the Gunners after the Copa America. One Arsenal fan on Twitter said he would eat his hand if it happened. Could be a nervous couple of months but we still believe he'll stay in Turin.

Rumor: Manchester United to PSG // Likelihood: Getting interesting // The Talk: Di Maria has hardly set the world on fire at United and many expect him to leave Old Trafford in the summer. The latest talk is that PSG, who seem absolutely determined to land the Argentina winger, are willing to throw in Gregory van der Wiel as part of the deal because United need a right-back. That would be feasible if Louis van Gaal had not dropped from him from the Netherlands' World Cup squad! At the moment it is not meant to be regarding Di Maria's move to PSG.

Rumor: Aston Villa to Liverpool // Likelihood: Will be expensive // The Talk: Liverpool's failure to capitalize on last season's heroics means there will have to be changes to personnel for the start of the next campaign. Last week, Benteke was linked with Wolfsburg but now it's Liverpool's turn -- and boy do they need him. It feels like we only go backwards when we talk about the Reds. Gerrard is leaving, Balotelli is hopeless and Rodgers is out of his depth and has no money to spend. Benteke would be a great addition but he would cost Fenway a packet. Are they prepared to dig deep?

Rumor: Liverpool to Arsenal // Likelihood: Hmm… // The Talk: One interesting rumor that surfaced before Sunday's games was a possible swap deal involving Sterling and Theo Walcott. Just a thought: Everyone talks about swap deals but do they ever happen? Rarely. In any case will Wenger let it happen after Walcott banged in a hat-trick against West Brom? We think Sterling's wage demands are outrageous in any case and don’t think Wenger will want to upset the apple cart. Manchester City remain favorites to get Sterling in our view.

Rumor: Arsenal to Barcelona // Likelihood: Nonsense // The Talk: Last week Wales midfielder Ramsey was linked with a move to Camp Nou. We are putting reality in motion here to say that this move is not going to happen. And we're not the only ones. Arsene Wenger thinks so too. He said: "It is not realistic, believe me. Barcelona know us well. They have gone through transfers with us. If they want someone they call me."

Rumor: Dortmund to Manchester United // Likelihood: Maybe not // The Talk: Dortmund have already bought their replacement for the outgoing Gundogan by signing Gonzalo Castro from Leverkusen. The expectation is that Gundogan will be joining Manchester United but Mundo Deportivo believes a verbal agreement has already been struck with Barcelona. It would mean Gundogan sitting on the sidelines for a few months waiting for the transfer embargo to expire but it's an interesting development.

Rumor: Benfica to Liverpool // Likelihood: Looks plausible // The Talk: According to reports in Portuguese paper O'Jogo this is a done deal. The Benfica winger has a $33 million release clause but he certainly looks as though he has all the credentials to play at one of the world's best clubs. By all accounts Benfica's president and Argentina international Salvio will fly to England to tie up the deal. Is this the man to replace Sterling? The bold arrow of time will soon let us know!
