Rumor: PSG to Roma Likelihood: Lots of options Rabiot has told PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he does not want to sign a new contract and that has prompted something approaching star wars for his signature. Roma boss Rudi Garcia is the first declare his hand by saying he is interested in signing the 19-year-old midfielder. However, Arsenal and Chelsea are also sniffing around and we expect a whole lot more to join them.

Rumor: Liverpool to Juventus Likelihood: Time could be up There are plenty of Liverpool and England fans that are starting to become disillusioned with Johnson’s performances and possibly with good reason. Johnson is not making any friends by giving the ball away too often and not doing the job he’s supposed to do which is defend. With Javier Manquillo looking like a decent acquisition it could be time for Liverpool to cash in on the 30-year-old right-back, who is wanted by Juventus. Napolim managed by former Reds boss Rafa Benitez, are also in the hunt.

Rumor: Southampton to Manchester City Likelihood: Doesn’t seem right Manchester City are down to the bare bones now that 29-year-old forward Alvaro Negredo (how lucky was that?) has upped sticks and joined Valencia on loan – and now there’s a potential injury to Stevan Jovetic. Pellegrini apparently wants to increase the English stock in his squad and Jay Rodriguez fits the bill. In our view Rodriguez is a step down from Negredo and we expect City to look elsewhere.

Rumor: Fiorentina to Manchester United Likelihood: Looking unlikely United may have missed out in signing Cuadrado in the summer but the chances of landing the Colombia international are diminishing even further. The Fiorentina winger, who had been a target for Barcelona until their transfer ban, had said he was happy to stay with the Viola until the end of the season. Now it seems that Cuadrado could sign a new deal until 2019. Is that commitment or a sign that Fiorentina want to ensure they maximize his price? September looks like a cruel month for interested parties.

Rumor: Inter Milan to Real Madrid Likelihood: We think he’ll stay Guarin has been linked with the European champions and Tottenham in recent days. Everybody knows that Guarin was on the brink of joining Juventus in January but the move collapsed when Erick Thohir pulled the plug because fans were unhappy with the swap deal involving Mirko Vucinic. The rumor mill has started again but the Colombian’s agent says his client is happy at Inter Milan. Phew!

Rumor: Manchester United to Juventus Likelihood: Never say never We all remember with disbelief how Mourinho discarded Mata, who had been Chelsea’s best player during his last two seasons with the club. Could the same happen again at United? We at FOX Soccer do not quite understand some of LVG’s purchases and think trouble could lie ahead. The Dutchman seems to be building a squad of left-footed players and now he wants to ditch a right-footer? The problem might be connected to Van Gaal’s assertion that he has too many players capable of playing in the same position so it seems to us Juve have nothing to lose by making a bid.

Rumor: Juventus to Manchester United Likelihood: Really? Stay with me on this one, but Pogba has apparently been offered three times his salary to stay at Juventus which according to one paper will put him on $113,000 a week which is a fortune to us but small fry to some of the wages kicking around the Premier League. The Old Lady have apparently offered him a deal up until 2018 too. Interestingly, only one bookmaker is offering odds on Pogba’s next destination. Chelsea are favorites, followed closely by PSG and then it’s Barca for some reason. Looks like the trail may have gone cold for a United return

Rumor: Manchester City to Real Madrid Likelihood: We don’t buy it So Ancelotti is apparently desperate to land a powerful midfielder after grumblings from Real Madrid fans unhappy with the sales of Alonso and Di Maria to Bayern Munich and Manchester United respectively. Does he have the desire to move to the Bernabeu? Well, only six months ago Toure told a Catalan radio station that he was a Barcelona fan and is not planning to go to Real Madrid – unless of course money has changed his allegiance.

Rumor: Roma to PSG Likelihood: United still favorites PSG are apparently happy to offer wantaway midfielder Adrien Rabiot plus cash for Strootman, whose reputation seems to rocket by the day despite still not being fit enough to return from injury. However, Manchester United clearly remain in the box seat. The fallen giants need to bring steel to their midfield and Van Gaal sees Strootman as the man to fix it, but he now faces competition from the French champions. Let’s see how he copes with his comeback from a knee injury in October before we talk about a winter move.

Rumor: Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid Likelihood: Lord knows Anyone that knows the next destination can either have one of two surnames: Reus or Nostradamus. Today the rumor is that Barcelona have agreed personal terms with the player (they have yet to agree terms with the club) just days after Real Madrid did the same. If it’s not Bayern Munich, it’s Manchester United. What will tomorrow bring? We own up. WE HAVE NO IDEA. If somebody knows where he’ll be going next summer get in touch.
