Rumor: Porto to Manchester City// Likelihood: Nailed on: Manchester City may have been punished for flouting financial fair play regulations but that won't stop them from splashing the cash during the transfer window. Their determination to stay gold means they will continue to btring the best players to the Etifhad - and that includes Porto midfielder Fernando, with Bacary Sagna set to follow.
Rumor: Leaving Manchester United // Likelihood: Swallow your pride Red Devils! Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admit you got it wrong. Unfortunately David Moyes is no longer around to own up to the monumental blunder that is Marouane Fellaini. The master pretender did his best to impress at Old Trafford and although he is one of the mainstays of the successful Belgium side he just couldn’t cut it in Manchester. He cost £27.5 million ($46.22) when he joined from Everton but we think United will cut their losses and sell for around £15million ($25.2million).

Rumor: New coach of Miami// Likelihood: Don’t think so: Talk of the devil! Moyes claims he has already turned down a couple of offers from clubs and is instead waiting for the right kind of challenge to handle his talent. One story to emerge last week was that David Beckham had sounded out the former Manchester United boss to coach his new Miami project - whenever that gets off the ground. Moyes was left shattered and hollow by his dismissal and we expect him to stay in the UK to restore his tarnished reputation.

Rumor: Real Madrid to Manchester City// Likelihood: Money sounds good: This would have little credence with the Rumor Mill committee members if it weren’t for the price. Pepe may be second choice these days behind Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane but he is still a capable defender. However, the bell may be tolling for Pepe’s Real Madrid career. Man City are thought to be prepared to pay £25 milllion ($42million) for the Portugal international, who will be at the World Cup. That’s a big wedge of cash for a 31-year-old.

Rumor: Chelsea to Real Madrid // Likelihood: Blues should dig in: Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of all-action midfielder Ramires – but unfortunately for him so is Mourinho. The Brazil international will be showing his talent at the World Cup but will he still be a blue next season? It’s an interesting one. Mourinho already has a cast of thousands to choose from in midfield and he is reportedly bringing Barca’s Cesc Fabregas and Atletico’s Tiago to Stamford Bridge. How can he accommodate them all?

Rumor: Juventus to Manchester United // Likelihood: Let it go: Alex Ferguson made a few mistakes during his time at United. One was selling Jaap Stam to Lazio in 2001. Another was to allow Pogba to run down his contract and join Juventus for nothing. Pogba is expected to be one of the best players on show at the World Cup and he is thought to be the man wanted by Louis van Gaal to increase United’s creativity in midfield. The cost? £60 million ($100 million). Heaven knows if United will get their wish but if they do they will always have the nagging feeling they could have saved themselves $100 million.

Rumor: Barcelona to Manchester United// Likelihood:Eh? Manchester United are being linked with just about every player in the world now that Van Gaal is about to take the reins. One of the areas that needs addressing at United is the left-back spot. Sure, Patrice Era has signed a one-year deal but what about the future? Van Gaal had initially set his sights on Southampton’s England defender Luke Shaw but that one is looking problematic. Now it’s the turn of Jordi Alba, one of the best attacking left-backs in the world. Dream on United! Alba is king of the world at Barca and despite an injury-wracked season the Catalans’ would be mad to let him go.

Rumor: Barcelona to Juventus //Likelihood: Interesting: This story seems to be gathering pace. Sanchez has reportedly been offered 4.1 million euros ($5.58 million) a season to sign for the Bianconeri but there is a stumbling block – Barcelona don’t want to sell. When a window opens to increase your pay packet significantly then players generally go for it. The Chile winger had a great time in Serie A with Udinese but whether he returns to Italy depends on Barca improving his contract package.

Rumor: Moving to Premier League// Likelihood: Possible: Monday’s news that Mandzukic wants to leave Bayern Munich will undoubtedly cause a heavy storm at the Bundesliga champions – and not just because he wants out. Mandzukic has criticized Pep Guardiola’s coaching methods and says he cannot play under the current system. So what next? Plenty of clubs are thought to be interested, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea. There’s still time to sort this one out but at what cost?

Rumor: Barcelona to Chelsea// Likelihood: Gathering pace by the day: When girlfriends start wishing the girlfriends of players at the same club goodbye we start to listen. What are we talking about? Danielle Semaan, the partner of Fabregas, posted a pic on Instagram http://instagram.com/p/o-2j4DPpgh/ saying how much she would miss Antonella Roccuzzo, who just happens to be the girlfriend of one Lionel Messi. Why would she post such a thing unless Fabregas was about to dance to another tune? One paper suggests that the deal is already done with Chelsea after Barca sorted out his replacement – Sevilla’s Ivan Rakitic.
