Rumor: Lille to Liverpool. // Likelihood: Highly likely// Origi proved a surprising success for Belgium during the World Cup. His pace and good feet helped give him to play a more prominent role in the tournament and he started the quarterfinal clash with Argentina. The Lille teenager has already been photographed at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground ahead of a reported $17 million move on a five-year deal despite late interest from Tottenham. The Reds are weighing up whether or not to loan him back to the French club.

Rumor: Swansea to Liverpool. // Likelihood: Don’t be fooled// Bony’s move to Anfield has reportedly hit the rocks because Swansea want more than his $32.5millon valuation. The Ivory Coast forward is seen as the man to replace Barcelona-bound Luis Suarez. Bony doesn’t have the star power that Suarez has but he knows his way to goal and we think the Welsh club are simply playing the brinkmanship game in a bid to get the maximum amount of cash from the Reds’ Suarez windfall.

Rumor: Tottenham to Juventus. // Likelihood: Certainly an option// Paulinho is viewed by Juventus as a natural replacement for Arturo Vidal, who is thought to be a potential target for Louis van Gaal’s revolution at Manchester United. Rumor Mill is a big fan of the Brazil international but we think this deal will only go through if Vidal leaves and Juve can reach a deal with tough negotiatior Daniel Levy. Paulinho will make the Old Lady purr given the chance but the asking price will probably be more than $42million. Vidal’s asking price is around $60million.

Rumor: Porto to Manchester City // Likelihood: Oh yes// This deal is complicated but we think City have finally been given the green light to sign Mangala from Porto. A deal to sign the France defender in January fell through and he could have joined City at the end of the season but decided to look at his options after the World Cup. There is also the matter of a part-ownership problem to resolve and the fact that City must offload another foreign player to comply with Uefa’s financial fair play rules. The asking price is $54.5million. City will pay it.

Angel di Maria
Rumor: Real Madrid to PSG. // Likelihood: Don’t think so// Di Maria, one of the stars of the World Cup, was linked with a move to Manchester United last week but a new club has emerged in the bid to sign the Argentina winger. One of the UK tabloids reckon Di Maria could join PSG and the odds on him joining the French champions are very short, but not as short as him staying at Real Madrid. That’s because there are no odds which says it all. He’s 100% staying at the Bernabeu.

Rumor: Borussia Dortmund to Liverpool. // Likelihood: Unlikely// The Liverpool Echo reported that the odds on Reus joining Liverpool have been slashed following a reported $77million offer. A quick look at the rest of the odds suggest that the Reds are equal with Arsenal and behind Manchester United. However, the Reds are said to be "baffled" by talk of a move and have not shown any interest in the player. No way will Reus be leaving Borussia Dortmund next season.

Rumor: Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United. // Likelihood: Think he’ll stay// Hummels proved to be, without a shadow of a doubt, one of Germany’s many leading lights at the World Cup, scoring two goals and proving a rock at the back. The center-back has been linked with a move to Manchester United but Louis van Gaal has competition from Barcelona. Luis Enrique needs to replace Carles Puyol, but talks to bring one from PSG’s Marquinhos and Valencia’s Jeremy Mathieu to Camp Nou have come to nothing. We think United are favorites should he move but reckon he’ll be at Dortmund next season.

Rumor: Bayern Munich to Real Madrid. // Likelihood: Iced// Kroos’ agent has denied that his client’s move to the European champions is a done deal but reckons his future will be decided this week. Volker Struth says nothing has been signed and that he will discuss Kroos’ future upon his return from Brazil. What we know is that Kroos rejected a new contract offer from Bayern and has set his heart on a move to the Bernabeu where he’ll be for the start of next season.

Rumor: Real Madrid to Premier League. // Likelihood: Good chance// Spanish media have some interesting tittle tattle on the future of Sami Khedira, who was cruelly robbed of a chance to play in Germany’s World Cup final win against Argentina after he sustained an injury during the warm-up. Sport believes Arsenal have beaten Chelsea to the capture of the midfielder for around $40 million on a four-year deal. It could just be total trash but Arsenal would have a formidable midfield if they can pull it off.

Rumor: Juventus to Manchester United// Likelihood: Interesting prospect// Vidal recently said he would love to play for one of the “biggest clubs in the world” which sounds like a strange comment in our book. Aren’t Juventus already in that bracket Arturo? In any case Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is determined to land the Chile international, who shone at the World Cup. However, despite United signing a massive kit deal with adidas and having the cash to attract players of Vidal’s quality it looks like the $60 million asking price may prove to be a sticking point. The world looks red for Arturo, but does it for United?
