Bolton started life without departed manager Dougie Freedman with a 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday. Ream resumed his normal duties in the back four and toiled away for 90 minutes as Wanderers slipped to yet another defeat. Bolton chairman Phil Gartside told the Bolton News that he hopes to make an appointment within two weeks.

Hamburg claimed its first win of the Bundesliga season with a 1-0 triumph at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Pierre Lasogga compounded Dortmund’s early struggles by snatching the winner at Signal-Iduna Park. Gyau watched the entire match from the substitutes’ bench, while Green missed out on place in the visitors’ squad as he continued his recovery from injury.

Eintracht continued its bright start to the Bundesliga season with a 3-2 home victory over 1.FC Köln on Saturday. Kevin Wimmer turned into his own net inside the final quarter of an hour to separate the sides at Commerzbank-Arena. Chandler replaced Slobodan Medojević in the 89th minute to help close out the victory.

Jesús Zavala broke the Xolos’ hearts deep in second-half stoppage time to give Monterrey a 1-1 draw on Saturday night. Dario Benedetto staked Tijuana to the lead after 25 minutes. The advantage lasted until Zavala popped up at the death to give Monterrey a share of the spoils. Corona and Garza both featured for the duration of the affair, while Paul Arriola and Alejandro Guido watched the match as unused substitutes.
