Tijuana eventually claimed a Liguilla place despite a 2-1 defeat to Club León on Friday night. Castillo and Corona featured from the start, while Arriola joined the fray as a second-half substitute. Tijuana will face Toluca in the upcoming Liga MX playoffs.

Agudelo contributed to Utrecht’s only goal in the 4-1 defeat at Heerenveen on Sunday. Heerenveen cobbled together a three-goal advantage by the late stages of the affair, but second-half substitute Agudelo prompted Jacob Mulenga’s goal in second-half stoppage time to reduce the arrears. Alfred Finbogason engineered an immediate response to quell any thoughts of a late show and seal the points for the home side.

Chandler made his first appearance since February 8 in Nürnberg’s 2-0 defeat at Mainz on Saturday. The recovering fullback played the first half before marching off at the interval in a pre-arranged substitution designed to protect his fitness and his improving knee.
